Are New Years Resolutions Necessary?

Fall is over and it's harder to lead an active lifestyle. The beaches are closed, it's raining to much to run, and frankly it's too cold to be outdoors. With a chillier season comes festivities, tasty food, and sometimes lethargy. That's why it's time to take action and get back to work. With a gym subscription, a new coach or class, and some sexy fitness gear (Fit By M is a great resource). You can find yourself bringing your body to another level despite the not so great conditions.

Forget New Years Resolutions, start a revolution. Be your better self now, not because the season dictates it or the year has changed. Stay active and improve your body for yourself. Some say change can be more powerful when done for oneself and no other reason. So when you pull on your new yoga pants and top. Look and feel your better self.

No one better describes what it takes to fully live in your power than fitness model and author Alicia Marie and in her words, “If you want something GO GET IT, DANG IT. Stop waiting for opportunities to drop in your lap. Why wait on ‘fate?’ Bring the life you want to yourself. That goes for every single little thing that you want for yourself in this life. It is not about the destination, it’s the journey. You grow by challenging yourself to GET IT, whatever it is. And then, just taking the bull by its proverbial horns. Everything you want – you have to go out and get yourself. That is the truth.”

Take a look in the mirror grab your gear and get to working out. You're out of excuses to do or not do it. As Yoda would say, “There is no try, only do.” Yoda may be a fictional character from Star Wars but he's right, you can only get what you want when you take it. So take the time to invest in yourself. Get your self you fit gear, get yourself your support system, and get your self the time. Your life is an investment worth making. So make it.
