Halloween goddess fashion takes it’s influence from the world of hip-hop and pop

When it comes to dressing like a goddess, the world of hip-hop and pop are guilty as charged.

Nothing embraces and enhances feminine power and beauty, like dressing up like a regal mythological powerhouse, embellished with a lot of glitz and glamor.

Halloween often comes around and people turn to look for inspiration from their favourite musicians – and we certainly have some big stars to imitate.

Seen in music videos and events aplenty, the girls of the musical world offer us a lot of Halloween goddess inspiration to live by.

Take pop goddess Katy Perry as an example. In her Dark Horse music video she channels her inner Cleopatra with style and finesse, finishing her Egyptian goddess look with a striking grill, vibrant beaded headdress and golden hair foils upon matte black hair.

Beyoncé went for a slightly more dare we say, demure look, when she channelled her inner golden goddess in style at the 2017 Grammy Awards. Donning a golden bead-embellished dress, dramatic headpiece and long flowing locks, a pregnant Beyoncé killed it.

Nikki Minaj embraced the goddess look for a #secretshoot in accordance with the release of DJ Khaled's latest album, Grateful.  Showing off a long-sleeved white plunge bodysuit finished with golden belt, gladiator sandals and crown – just perfect for hip-hop royalty.

However, Nicki is no stranger to mythological fashion, donning a blue chiffon maxi dress and Grecian gilded headband in her Moments 4 Life music video.

Cardi B joins the goddess party also with her 2018 Met Gala look, many believe inspired by Beyoncé’s killer 2017 Grammys outfit. The rappr donned a gorgeous Moschino gown, decorated with bold jewels and a thigh high slit, finished with an extravagant headpiece.

To create the goddess look yourself this Halloween, slip into a maxi dress and cinch your waist with a belt, don a decorative headband and killer heels or strappy sandals.

So, if you want to dress up like the hottest females in music, don a goddess outfit this Halloween with a whole load of accessories and sass.

How to wear a dress like a 21st century Marilyn Monroe

Let's face it, Miss Marilyn Monroe was a fashion icon, even to this day women around the world take influence from her wardrobe. The woman was the epitome of style and sass, shaking up the 1950s with a myriad of photo shoots, songs and films.

Celebrated as a sex symbol and emblematic of her era, Marilyn is revered for revolutionising attitudes towards sexuality and fashion. She remains a sex and pin-up symbol even to this day.

Our latest dress collection is themed around the style of the blond bombshell, with a dash of 21st century sexiness and revival.

So, how do you emulate an idol? It is simple really, you have to dress to undress. When choosing your outfit for the evening, be it at a dinner, party or other special occasion, think simple yet sexy - a strange, but trust us, rewarding concept.

Marilyn was a fan of neutral block colors, letting her understated yet glitzy jewellery add the finishing touches to her dresses. You need to let your dress do the talking, teaming it with classic accessories and sky high strappy heels to complete your look.

You can bring 2018 and your own personal style into the mix with the details of your dress. Creating the illusion of an hourglass silhouette was a must for Marilyn, so be sure to accentuate your spectacular waistline with complimentary dress styles and details.

Think thigh high slit and double slit, wrap styles, spaghetti straps, plunging necklines or V wire detail to accentuate your figure and best assets.

Keeping things simple doesn’t deflect from being sexy at all. If you wear these dress styles with confidence and a smile, you will certainly be dressed to impress.

To finish your look you must perfect your beauty regime, add classic make up with a red lip and perfectly done hair to the mix and you are on to a winner - a dose of confidence will certainly follow.

With all this in mind, you will be left feeling like the big screen Queen herself! adding the flair and flavour of the fifties to your 2018 wardrobe needn’t be difficult.
